Community Homes for Opportunity

Community Homes for Opportunity (CHO) provides person-centred, recovery-oriented supportive housing for people living with serious mental illness.

The program developed from Homes for Special Care. It brings housing and support services together to help people maintain a stable home, build daily living skills and take part in their community.

A focus on the person

Support is shaped around each person’s needs, choices and goals. Tenants are encouraged to participate in their own planning.

Housing and community support

Home operators and community agencies work together. The services available depend on the home, the local agency and the person’s needs.
